Going Deep

Having received more than $13 billion in humanitarian aid since 2001, Uganda President Yoweri Museveni in October 2012 kicked off celebration of 50 years of colonial independence by dedicating his country to God and repenting.

“I denounce witchcraft and satanic practices. I repent on behalf of Uganda. We confess our sins. We repent of the sins of shedding innocent blood, corruption, bribery, sexual immorality, drunkenness, rebellion, insubordination, tribalism and sectarianism.”

Not even the $1.7 billion given in aid last year has been able to make a dent in the lies of satan holding back the country nicknamed “The Pearl of Africa” by Sir Winston Churchill.

The Rock has seen fruit in making impactful disciples through scholarship and small business loan programs, but we also have seen lives destroyed through corrupted attitudes and actions toward money. We have realized lack of money is not the primary obstacle faced in resource-rich Africa.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12)
So we believe the Lord is leading us away from projects involving money towards application-based teaching and discipleship focused on our BOLD message. Our BOLD Resource Center in Mukono Uganda will be a haven for truth, Christian media and “iron sharpening iron” fellowship.  (Proverbs 27:17)  It also will be a center for online teaching from the U.S.
