Your Home is Not The Pit

In The Rock film A Firm Place to Stand, John and Daniel persevered and showed their faith is firmly planted in God through His Son Jesus Christ.

As Margaret said, “They know Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross as payment for their sins and rose again. They have put their trust in Him for forgiveness and favor with God.”

John 3:16 puts it this way: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

God loves you so much He sacrificed His Son on your behalf. This was necessary because, as the Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Our imperfect lives separate us from a perfect and holy God. As Scripture says, “The wages of sin is death,” meaning eternal separation from God in heaven.

But God provided a way for us to reach Him by sending Jesus down from heaven 2,000 years ago to live a perfect life before dying on a cross to pay our sin penalty for us.

Jesus rose from the grave and now is with God in heaven again. Our faith in Jesus and His payment for our sins is the only way for us to enter heaven and stand blameless before God the Father.
Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except by me.”

God already has reached out to you. Will you in faith receive His gift of eternal life and security through Jesus with Him in heaven? If so, you can pray from your heart and it will be done.
It could be something like this:

“Jesus, I believe you are the one and only perfect Son of God. I surrender my life to you. Thank you for loving me so much that you died on the cross to pay the price for my sins. Please forgive me for all of my sins and grant me eternity with you in heaven.”

If you sincerely offer a prayer like this, you will experience the same peace and eternal security as John and Daniel regardless of your circumstances.
